BEGINNING JULY 2018
Natural connection program for children aged 7 – 10 years on Fridays during school term times. This program offers limited places for up to 6 children and operates in association with Greystone Farm Nature Play in the Guanaba Indigenous Protected Area (GIPA) on the Gold Coast.
We carry in and carry out all our requirements for the day, in all weathers (except extreme wind and rain), spending our time exploring, discovering, building, creating and reflecting. This program teaches responsiveness to nature, respect towards all living things and cultures, traditional crafts and bush skills, connection to country through story and experience and knowledge of local plants and animals.
The children will contribute to the natural area through self- directed conservation projects. This program will respond to children’s interests and curiosity and extend thinking through yarning and creative reflection in journals, a record that may be used to supplement homeschool programs and personal projects.
